Barangay Tan-awan, a peaceful and hardworking community in Kabankalan, Negros Occidental, is calling for support in strengthening its emergency response capabilities. Nestled in a rural area, the barangay faces challenges in accessing immediate medical care due to its distance from major health facilities. Residents often contend with delayed medical assistance during emergencies, making the need for first aid training and medical supplies increasingly urgent. These measures can empower local leaders and community members to respond effectively to injuries, illnesses, and other emergencies, potentially saving lives. The barangay council is seeking assistance from medical professionals, trainers, and organizations to conduct comprehensive first aid workshops. These sessions aim to equip residents with essential skills, including CPR, wound care, and managing common emergencies. In addition, the community is in dire need of medical supplies such as first aid kits, bandages, antiseptics, and over-the-counter medications to stock their barangay health station. Local leaders are prepared to coordinate with interested individuals and groups to ensure the successful implementation of this initiative. By enhancing the community’s preparedness, Barangay Tan-awan hopes to build resilience and safeguard the health and safety of its residents. Organizations, medical practitioners, and civic groups willing to assist are encouraged to contact the barangay office. Together, we can make a lasting difference in ensuring that Barangay Tan-awan is better equipped to handle health emergencies.
